Feeding ... Drummer, the lovely horse who has moved into our next-door paddock. Adam adores him. Once the supply of bruised apples we take him has been greedily consumed, baby fetches tiny handfuls of grass from the verge and feeds him patiently until the big horse snorts at these meagre offerings and ambles away.
Potting out ... tiny Golden Privet slips, which will one day create a new hedge in my garden ... I'm delighted that I successfully struck 24 with firm, strong roots. And 12 hydrangeas to boot! I'll give them a few months to grow strong in the little nursery area by the shed before they have to weather the big wide world.
Playing ... Eric's new Ipod 2 Touch (he always refers to it with the full title!), bought after much careful saving and planning. (And showing it off to friends, too.)
Eating ... iceblocks at Grandma's house. Cheeky little one greets her now with the words "Ice block!", and darling Grandma always obliges with homemade treats.
Relishing ... more sorbet-coloured bouquets from my own garden.
Cheering ... for my big boy who received his bronze certificate at school assembly last week. It's the culmination of five class awards, and a step on the way to the gold certificate which ensures a place at the end-of-year school fun day. (which almost everyone gets to attend ... you have to be a right little devil to miss out).
Gardening ... with my chubby assistant! (Who has just learned to say "ow! sore!" and says it at every opportunity, just for drama!)
Playing ... at playgroup with the other children, while mummy drinks tea and eats freshly-baked plum cake.

Building ... a tank from sofa cushions.
Inviting ... a friend over for a special candle-light dinner (requested by Eric)!
