This time we took Lily with us to play (I'm always looking for an extra child to take along, as having two is actually more fun than just one), as she lives just a minute or two from the sand. In fact, the beach is only 15 minutes from us, and it's in the same town as my chemist, so it's no drama to visit. I only wonder that we don 't go more often.
The kids made dams, rolled down sand dunes, paddled and chased the waves.
Later we had a real treat: hot chips by the wharf. For the grand sum of $3 the children filled their tummies to bursting, then had a ball feeding (and then chasing) the screeching seagulls.
